Crowns and Bridges Parramatta

Bridge illustrationFixed crowns and bridges are essential for our patients who have broken or missing teeth. They’re durable, attractive and blend in with your overall smile.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns help protect damaged teeth, preventing future cracks from occurring. We recommend them if a tooth has a large cavity, fracture or recently received a root canal.

Dental crowns are also used to top off dental implants if we’re replacing a single missing tooth.

Fixed Bridges

Bridges look like a set of 3-4 dental crowns alongside one another. We use them to replace missing teeth if you don’t want to wear a partial denture. They’re supported by a pair of healthy teeth on either side of the missing one.

Like crowns, bridges can also be affixed to dental implants to replace multiple missing teeth at one time.

Getting a crown or bridge usually requires two separate appointments about two weeks apart. During your first visit, we’ll numb and prep your tooth, then take an impression for our lab. While the permanent restoration is being designed, we’ll fit you with a temporary to wear. A couple of weeks later you’ll return to have your permanent crown or bridge bonded into place.

Pricing for crowns and bridges can vary depending on the situation. Much of it depends on the adjacent tooth, your bone health, how many teeth are missing and the extent of tooth damage. Some cases are simpler to perform while others are more complicated.

During your exam, we’ll work up a detailed care plan that outlines your treatment options and pricing. You’ll have all of the information you need to make an educated decision about your smile’s future. Financing is also available. An assessment is always the first step.
