Meet the team that makes Argyle Street Family Dental so unique…
Dr Martin graduated from the University of the Witwatersrend in South Africa in 1978. He Entered the South African Defense Force as a Dentist working in South West Africa in the city of Windhoek. He has worked at the Katatura Hospital practicing dentistry on the indigenous Herero population. He was fortunate enough to also have a long wheel base land cruiser to take a mobile dental clinic into the bush areas to practice dentistry in remote rural areas of South West Africa to Okahenja and Otjivorenko. He entered Private Practice in 1981 in Johannesburg. In 1997 Martin along with his family immigrated to Sydney where he set up practice in Parramatta and has been there ever since. Martin has been married to Terry for 35 years and has three children and two delightful grandsons.
Tamara completed her BDS at the University of Sydney in 1992. Since then, in addition to completing many hours of further education and training in dentistry, she has also earned her BA (Hons) and PhD at the University of NSW. Like Martin, Tamara is committed to providing the best dental treatment she can under relaxed and gentle circumstances. Away from dentistry, Tamara enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping. She tends a large garden, chickens and bees and loves spending time with her three small children at home in the Parramatta area.
Zary – Oral Hygienist
Our Oral Health Therapist Zary is a new addition to our dynamic team, ensuring that we offer a comprehensive approach to dental services. Due to the increased concern regarding the relationship between gum disease and overall health problems, such as strokes and heart attacks, Zary brings a wealth of imperative knowledge to Argyle Street Family Dental.
Zary graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Oral Health. Zary is passionate about oral hygiene, utilising her free time to provide information about dental health at childcare centres and preschools. Additionally, she attends seminars and consistently seeks the latest information to ensure that she remains at the forefront of preventative work, aspiring to curb the presence of debilitating health problems that can relate to dental concerns.
Caz – Dental Assistant
Caz, with her positive energy and laughter is our friendly Dental Assistant who has successfully completed her DAA Certificate, and brings more than 25 years of skill and liveliness to our practice. She has also broadened her knowledge and worked for many years in the Orthodontic field. Caz understands patients often feel nervous when visiting the Dentist, so with her caring nature she always makes them feel very relaxed.
Caz is a mum with two children, so works most mornings and every Saturday, so she can be available to collect her children after school. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking and interior decorating.
She is a terrible cook, so loves eating out with her family, and catching up with her friends at the local restaurants and cafés.
